LONG BEACH (CBS) — Police are warning drivers to expect congestion around Cal State Long Beach beginning Wednesday due to graduation events.
Heavy traffic is expected between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Friday, especially on Palo Verde Avenue between Anaheim Road and the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Compounding the problem for motorists coming into town is the closure of the 7th Street connector bridge from the northbound 405 and the Garden Grove (22) Freeway.
Motorists, who use Palo Verde Avenue, and especially those attending graduation events should allow for extra travel time.
