LONG BEACH (CBS) — Investigators say an arsonist set two fires within blocks of each other in Long Beach.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
The first fire occurred after midnight on May 16, 2011, at a marijuana collective on the 1700 block of East 7th Street.
The video obtained showed the suspect was masked but he was seen running from the blaze with his hands caught on fire.
The next fire happened the following day when the suspect reportedly set fire to a women and children’s clinic on the 1400 block of East 7th Street.
The Long Beach Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s capture. Anyone with information was urged to call investigators at (562) 570-2582.
