LOS ANGELES (AP) — Attorneys for former Los Angeles Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt have asked a judge to order the sale of the team in order to prevent a possible seizure of the club by Major League Baseball from her ex-husband.

Jamie McCourt filed court documents Thursday with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon, who presided over the divorce trial of Frank and Jamie McCourt last year. Gordon set a June 22 date to hear arguments about a possible sale.

The divorce trial centered on the validity of a post-nuptial marital agreement that gave Frank McCourt sole ownership of the Dodgers.

Gordon deemed it invalid and cleared the way for Jamie McCourt to seek half the team under California’s community property law.

Former Texas Rangers President Tom Schieffer was appointed last month by baseball Commissioner Bud Selig to review the Dodgers’ finances.
