Three people were on board when the Boeing 707 went down at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday and all escaped unhurt, air station spokeswoman Terry Reid said.
The large plane was engulfed in flames and sent plumes of black smoke into the sky.
Reid says the tanker is used for fleet operations support and transporting fuel.
