CARSON  (AP) -- Landon Donovan scored twice in under 3 minutes, David Beckham had a goal off a free kick, and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Sporting Kansas City 4-1 on Saturday night.

Donovan converted a penalty kick in the 44th minute and added his MLS-high seventh goal in the 46st.

Juan Pablo Angel scored in the 64st minute and Beckham got on the board in closing minutes with his first of the season from 30 yards out to help the Galaxy (5-2-5) remain unbeaten at home (3-0-2).

Sporting (1-5-1) squandered a first-half lead to lose for the fourth straight game. Kansas City is winless in the past six games.

Donovan was responsible for the first two goals, giving him a personal stretch of seven straight Galaxy goals, spanning the last four contests.
