INDUSTRY (AP) — Authorities have found a large marijuana growing operation worth $2 million in three San Gabriel Valley warehouses worth.
The Los Angeles Times says sheriff’s deputies found 1,900 marijuana plants in the unincorporated community of Bassett.
Lt. Victor Sotelo of the Sheriff’s Department’s Industry station says authorities began investigating after a deputy smelled the pungent odor of marijuana from a warehouse. After a judge approved a warrant, deputies seized the plants Thursday morning.
Authorities arrested Colby Kelly of Santa Ana, Alfred Serrato of Tustin, Brandon Roberto of Aliso Viejo and Theodoro Castro of Rowland Heights.
Earlier this week another marijuana operation was found also in the San Gabriel Valley worth about $2.5 million.
