WEST LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A motorist crashed a car through a barrier on the third floor of a West Los Angeles parking structure Tuesday morning, fatally injuring herself.

KNX 1070’s Ron Kilgore Reports

The car landed on its roof outside the structure at Sepulveda Boulevard and Nebraska Avenue about 9:20 a.m., Cecil Manresa of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Officials believe the woman was trying to maneuver out of a parking spot when the accident happened.

The 76-year-old woman died at the scene, officials said. Her name has not been released.

City building inspectors were summoned to assess the damage to the parking structure.
