SHERMAN OAKS (CBS) — An off-duty Los Angeles police officer has died after an early-morning crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway.

The single-vehicle accident occurred about 3:20 a.m. Saturday at the Van Nuys Boulevard offramp on the eastbound freeway, according to authorities.

LAPD Sgt. Carl Taylor said the officer was found gravely injured and still belted in the driver’s seat which had separated from his pickup truck after it struck a guardrail.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the cause of the crash.

Alan Hart, some clarifications on your admirer’s comments: Scott’s apparent paranoid psychosis is a break with reality that includes extreme fear and anxiety associated with delusions. Paranoia is a common feature of many delusions, especially in cases like persecutory delusions where people become convinced that they are under attack or someone is out to get them. A number of psychiatric conditions can contribute to the development of paranoid psychosis, and it can also develop in response to neurological disorders, certain medications, and some other causes. There are treatments available to help the patient address the delusions and associated paranoia. Paranoia itself is fear and anxiety at an unreasonable level that may be exaggerated, and is often rooted in something not very believable. Informally, the term is often used to describe quite reasonable cautions, like being alert for police cars while speeding. In psychiatry, this would not be considered paranoia, but believing that the police were tracking a driver with a device mounted in the vehicle would be.

The man just died leaving family and friends behind and you talk of tickets? If the title read man dies in accident, would you feel the same? Whether he’s a cop or not, show some respect.

This man put his life in danger for people like you and that’s what you say, if he got a ticket or what was his alcohol level. Remember that when someone crawls through your window and you need to call somebody. Instead of calling 911 maybe you can call your neighbor or friends. See if they come to your aid.
RIP to the officer and pray for his family.

It generated over $1,800.00 dollars for victims just today alone. Keep up the great word and Goggle “michellefrommadison” as often as possible and the stats do change daily. Excellent!!!! While the search is typically done on the open non-secured-internet like here and Goggle, if you have the credentials to visit secured-sites, (secured sites can easily be described as those site like banks and other financial institutions, NCIC sites, Criminal Justice Informational sites, NASA sites as the similar-types)
do the same there because it leads to sites offering books I have been a part of and the profits are tax-deductible too.
To enter them, you will first need your supervisor’s access code verifications, your district-code numbers, your badge number, and your accessibility codes to enter the secured-sites but the traffic is much higher on those types of sites, there are 223 visitors listed right now. Thanks for your help Scott.

If you are police officer be quite already and don’t put your job on the line for the comments you are making. Mourn but ignore what is disrespectful. Why are you here anyway, you open the door for people to say what they want to say when comments are made. Civilians are allowed to speak there peace. We should all be respectful for this young man, not for his position but for the loss of life. God speed to his family and friends. DUI or not, it was his calling. In time ww will know the coronor’s report, so no one should jump the gun.

Upyours, your April 24, 2011 at 2:09am comment was right on target to Scott. Thank you. It is often more time-consuming dealing with individuals like Scott who often lash out at people that are better informed and better educated than people like Scott. Psychologically speaking, it’s a mechanism often used by people like Scott to personally feel better about themselves regarding trying to appear more informed and more knowledgeable than they actually are in reality. Thanks again Upyours for your patience in hovering far above Scott’s current abilities. Mental health issues are quite dominant in Scott’s world, apparently.

I’m so devastated from micHELLe comments, I’m mentally ill now, my mechanism is broken, she has broken me, I’m worth nothing in this world of trying to do right, I’m not educated I have no paper on my walls, I’m uninformed, oh the humanity, in reality I have no knowledge, there is only one thing to do now.

To keep standing up for what is right! Like the citizens of Los Angeles paying for every police officers funeral, no matter what!

I’m sorry people like you exist, it really makes you wonder how a mother could create a bitter, full of spite human like you.

Thanks for pointing that out that everyone should Google “michellefrommadison” as many times per day as they possible can and do it daily, everyday, and have everyone they know do the same because my media site friends have investors and businesses that donate money for every hit that is confirmed on the internet, as many of you already know. Scott, however, is a little slow due likely to his limitations from his obvious mental issues. As some of those sites report weekly, keep on Goggling that phrase in full, not in any parts or having spaces between any of the letters. That’s crucial in getting an accurate hit list, and be sure to frequent all the sites listed as well. You do not have to post comments in order to help out my causes for victim’s rights, just visit the links and that is enough to generate the funds so desperately needed by these victims. Thanks again Scott for the reminder and be sure to visit as many daily as possible. If you search some of the secured-sites, you can also purchase some of the book I have been a part in creating covering many issues regarding topics such as Criminal Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, People who harm victims, Psychological Dysfunction, Law, and many other great topics. Check them out. See Scott, there is a good-part of you that I have seen all along. Thanks again.

Need I say anymore, blood money from a dead LAPD Police Officer

she doesn’t even live on CA

April 25, 2011 at 10:09 pm

Scott

I think you made this dead officer a victim with your money for profit scheme of blogging. We need more Nancy Grace’s and LESS micHELLe”s in this world.

He was a good police officer and the family deserves to have all funeral cost paid for by the tax payers of Los Angeles.

And Scott also, she has another $5mil lawsuit against her for other crimes she has done, plus tons of settlements to other victims to avoid media coverage. She’s personally the reason why the Anheuser-Busch company is still in business because of her personal use and all those drug manufacturers that reap in profits from her purchases of the drugs she says she takes daily. So, back off of Nancy Grace please, we love Nancy Grace. And, let’s see who the next victim who dies because of Nancy’s inappropriate and potentially illegal actions turns out to be this time.

It generated over $1,800.00 dollars for victims just today alone. Keep up the great word and Goggle “michellefrommadison” as often as possible and the stats do change daily. Excellent!!!! While the search is typically done on the open non-secured-internet like here and Goggle, if you have the credentials to visit secured-sites, (secured sites can easily be described as those site like banks and other financial institutions, NCIC sites, Criminal Justice Informational sites, NASA sites as the similar-types) do the same there
because it leads to sites offering books I have been a part of and the profits are tax-deductible too. To enter them, you will first need your supervisor’s access code verifications, your district-code numbers, your
badge number, and your accessibility codes to enter the secured-sites but the traffic is much higher on those types of sites, there are 223 visitors listed right now. Thanks for your help Scott.

Not so sure his funeral would be covered if he drove the vehicle inappropriately Scott, which it appears since he crashed the vehicle. How difficult is it to drive a vehicle? It’s not. Good officer? Obvious not.

Crystal, covered by insurance, the department, or by tax-payers? Anxious for the answer. If funded in any manor by the tax-payers then this might be a need for a funeral-protest that you might want to let the advocates know about. I’ll fly over to attend. Why you appear so angry at the public for pointing out some of the questions of this incident and some of the errors of this want-to-be-a-good-officer-that-could-not-drive-safely and why he put the public safety in jeopardy as he drone before her crashed in only something you and you doctors can answer Crystal. And, no one is jealous of his incompetence as an officer either imo.

I do not make any profits from any actions of victim’s right issues Scott, or even on covering Psychological and Psychiatric issues of people who face mental challenges like Scott. All “profits” are immediately donated to over a dozen non-profit organizations to help care and treat individuals like Scott and other victims of crimes and assisting to help treat people like Scott. Yes, please Google the name michellefrommadison, but please enter it as one single word, not one name with a location added. This has been mentioned here a long time ago, but Scott appears to only now be recognizing some of the past history here. Type the three parts together as one single word, that is essential, and please visit as many of the sites as possible even if it on a topic you are not specifically seeking right now. The more hits the better and victims of crimes are the true beneficiaries. Goggle away and please try to do that as often as you can as many times per day as you can. And, contact all your personal contacts and advise them to do the same. Crime victims need the assistance. Hopefully too, it may also ultimately help to get Scott some of the help he so desperately needs, both in treatment, monitoring, and in medications. On behalf of crime victims world-wide, thank you so very, very much. May God bless you for your continued efforts.
