President's Entourage Creates No Major Bottlenecks During Fundraising Swing

LOS ANGELES (AP) —  Authorities say there are no reports of major bottlenecks related to President Barack Obama's travels across West Los Angeles to attend some fundraisers.

The California Highway Patrol says a few ramps on Interstate 405 were temporarily closed Thursday for the presidential motorcade, causing minor traffic backups.

During the rush hour, there were reports of bumper-to-bumper conditions on Olympic Boulevard.

Air Force One landed at Los Angeles International Airport at about 2:30 p.m. The president then boarded a helicopter for a short flight to an unspecified landing zone, then rode in a motorcade to the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

He traveled by motorcade to two fundraisers at Sony Studios in Culver City before dining with supporters at a restaurant in Brentwood.
