SANTA ANA (CBS) — A man who allegedly robbed a dozen banks in Southern California has been arrested in Colorado, the FBI confirmed Wednesday.
Adam Lynch, the alleged “Ho Hum Bandit,” is behind bars in Denver, according to FBI spokesperson Dave Joly.
Investigators thought Lynch, 34, had moved out of state when a serial bank robbery suspect matching his description popped up in Colorado.
Dubbed the “JV Bandit Gone Bad” there, Lynch is accused in eight holdups last year in Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder, FBI Special Agent Chris Gicking said.
Lynch is suspected of targeting 12 banks across the Southland, including a U.S. Bank branch in Laguna Beach and a Citibank branch in Corona del Mar.
