McDonald’s Attempting To Hire 50K Workers Nationwide Tuesday

LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070) — Jobs are on the menu at McDonald’s restaurants across the nation Tuesday.

KNX 1070′s Ed Mertz reports.

The burger chain is holding a National Hiring Day in an attempt to hire 50,000 new employees, with 3,000 of them in California. Experts say this hiring push will place three to four new workers per restaurant.

McDonald’s says they need to hire full and part-time employees ranging from crew members to managers.

RIght gordo, because they don’t really want to work. Like most people that vote for Democrats, they expect entitlements and handouts from the Government to take care of them, i.e. socialism.

How is this going to help much with the USA economy? 8hr jobs PT! Come on, let’s get real! Plus no insurance benefits to boot! These are entry level jobs for kids going to school or retired people who have to keep on working. No more no less.

Oh, and if MckyD’s really wants to help, how about providing affordable health care of some sort? Well, I can offer PT employees of all fast food restaurants an affordable healthcare program alternative. i have to disagree with you, harryfassett. any jobs, part time and minimum waged w/o benefits or otherwise, help the economy. it puts money in pockets of those who don’t have any, offers jobs to a demographic that has the ability to do the work, and provides an opportunity to give the currently jobless or those whom never held employment before to have something to put on their resume. in that, their wages are then taxed, which helps local and state economies, and the wage earner now has money to put back into the economy when they spend it. is mcdonald’s an economic lifesaver? not for the national debt, but for the household debt, this may be just the rescue a single parent with no other options needs. i laud any corporation making an effort to hire during this tough economic period. it wasn’t ONE industry that got us into this mess, and it won’t be ONE who saves us from it – each member doing its share to make the whole body prosper.
