TORRANCE (AP) — A suspected drunken driver is facing a second murder charge for the weekend deaths of a Southern California man and a 6-year-old boy.

Prosecutors say 33-year-old Perry Lee Oakley Jr. has been charged with murder for the death of 62-year-old Samuel Lee Dickens of Compton. Oakley could face life in prison if convicted of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

The Torrance Daily Breeze says Oakley was behind the wheel of an Acura that slammed into a Toyota Camry on Saturday in Gardena.

Six-year-old Sylvester Payne Jr., who was riding in the Camry with Dickens, died Tuesday and Oakley is now expected to be charged with murder for the boy’s death.

Tuesday’s arraignment was postponed until May 2.

Stop drinking & driving. Dude face Life in Prison for that stupid drink. Now he’ll have to deal with home-brew alcohol from behind bars where he’ll have to do favors to get it.

Although she didn’t (couldn’t) leave the scene of the accident, Jessica Shekell only received six years for killing two women and injuring their children by driving the wrong way on the 91 freeway with a B.A.C. of .26.

    Gotta love Orange County justice.

6 years? 6 years is nothing in CA, she’ll get out in 3 years for good behavior. That’s just how CA works.

Sylvester was a student at the school I work at and he is deeply missed by his teachers and friends. I saw him everyday and now that he’s gone, I can only visualize him playing on the yard, running around and having fun. I hate that he’s gone so early. This what not suppose 2 happen. 😦 He was such a happy, active boy who loved coming to school everyday. We love u and miss u Sylvester.
