Former Deputy Gets 20 Years For Soliciting Bribes, Sexual Favors

VICTORVILLE (AP) — A former San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for soliciting bribes and sexual favors from women he stopped.

The Victorville Daily Press says 33-year-old Matthew Linderman was sentenced Wednesday to the maximum term. He was convicted last month of more than a dozen criminal counts that included sexual battery and soliciting a bribe.

Prosecutors say that Linderman solicited sexual favors and bribes from nearly a dozen women he detained from 2005 to 2007.

Authorities say that in exchange for leniency, he asked some women to show their breasts and took photographs.

If it was an LAPD officer the internal investigation would
    result with the statement:
    The officer did nothing wrong.
