PICO RIVERA (CBS) — Law enforcement officials Tuesday chased a drug subject through Pico Rivera into Santa Fe Springs and said the suspect may have been transporting as much as eighty pounds of cocaine.
The chase started just after 9:15 p.m.
The suspect was driving a gray Nissan. The cocaine was believed to be in his trunk.
It is not clear how officers knew the man was carrying the large quantity of cocaine.
The chase ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a parked car at Carminita Road and Meyer Road in the Santa Fe Springs area.
Police told KCAL 9 they have a suspect in custody.
