1 Hurt After US Marshal Shoots Fugitive In Hollywood
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A U.S. marshal shot and wounded a person described as a fugitive in Hollywood on Wednesday in what law enforcement officials described as a multi-agency operation.
KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou reports Sunset Boulevard was shut down for at least two blocks after an estimated 50 law enforcement officials descended on the scene.

The shooting occurred at 11:51 a.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Wilton Place, according to Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office.
Paramedics transported the wounded person to a hospital in unknown condition, Baek said. No other injuries were reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, the marshal was conducting a surveillance of a fugitive when the shooting occurred, Baek said.
It was not immediately known if the wounded person was armed.
