LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Hundreds of immigration rights activists sought to overshadow a neo-Nazi rally against illegal immigration this weekend in Claremont.

KNX 1070′s Chris Sedens reports tensions ran high on Saturday, but police say no arrests or injuries were reported.

Nearly two dozen white supremacists affiliated with the National Socialist Movement were met by about 200 immigrant rights activists along Foothill Boulevard.

The counter-protesters called the neo-Nazi group “racists” in a confrontation that was reportedly tense but nonviolent.

Some in the group wore black battle uniforms, while others were shirtless, exposing numerous tattoos, and several had shaved heads.

The group marched down the street holding a banner with the letters of the National Socialist Movement and a swastika in the middle.

After all, they are being unproductive and using up resources and committing crimes and who knows what else. Last time I checked, and correct me if I’m wrong, the funds you mentioned were drained because they were going to the baby boomers. Oh and a little thing called the war. Hmm? I am going to CORRECT you because you are mistaken!

Maybe some of us that are un employed/homeless are educators who have worked tirelessly for far less that we deserve to be paid for our efforts for three decades. Because the Govenator violated the law and cut the mandated education budget below that which was the law thousands of educated, law abiding teachers are un employed and homeless because we can’t afford housing or to live on an un employment check in So Cal which is $1,800.00 a month.

How about cutting the legislators and Governors salaries? How about cutting every state/county/local government employees salary. Why don’t we tax/fine US Companies that out source American jobs to foreign countries. I am tired of calling customer dis service and being sent to India, Spain, or the Philippines. where they can’t even speak English.

I think that former President Bush and all his special interest “Cronies” should pay us back for the money they have been charging us for gas at the pump ripping us off. Why don’t we stop ex porting our oil and gas and sell it cheaper here to US citizens?

Let’s stop giving aid to foreign countries like Haiti where it never reaches the people only the hands of corrupt government officials. Money that we borrowed and pay interest on. Why do we continue to house life serving term inmates on death row?

We spend three times as much money on an inmate than we do to educate a child!!! Something is terribly wrong with this. Teachers who require a minimum of five years education like an Engineer only make a third of what an e Engineer makes. Are our children not our most valuable resource? You get what you pay for. Cramming 35 to 45 students in a classroom is only going to hurt us more in the long run.

Why haven’t all those well paid Engineers, Chemists, and physicists come up with a green/renewable fuel alternative that the gas companies haven’t bought up the patents to yet?

We should be worried about housing illegals with felonies in our prison system. They cost us more than any welfare or any other benefits that they may get.

Our prisons provide three hots and a cot, free medical and dental, cable, recreation and sometime conjugal visits. Yet we have unemployed citizens who can’t afford medical care and have nowhere to lay their head at night.

For those who think the Neo Nazis are fighting for jobs it’s a joke. Most of them are drop outs from the educational system and society. Arguing and fighting isn’t going to change anything. Our system has to change from within.

Only legal immigrants benefit the system like educated skill workers from Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, and South America. Not illegals who cant read and expect to be taken care of. I would say the government should issue work permit to limited illegal immigrants so they can also pay tax, keep track of where they are and must renew every year.

Jon, Actually the free medical care has been sharply curtailed. They only received benefits for the child born in this country.

Also, many illegal immigrants use social security numbers of deceased or living citizens so they do pay taxes. The government doesn’t care because they can’t file for a refund so the state and the federal governments keep the money.

The corporations are the ones who don’t pay taxes in addition they are outsourcing our jobs and get a tax deduction because it is a business expense and because the money is earned abroad it is not taxable in the U.S.

Why are people complaining about migrant workers taking their jobs on the field picking fruit, and not about all the real jobs that are being sent to china or elsewhere? I work in the hospital and I see illegals everyday taking advantage of the system and having the taxpayers pay for everything. One stupid mexican illegal wanted medi-Cal to pay for her stupid foot cream that only cost 5 bucks. 45 percent of drunk drivers are illegal immigrants from the South. We spend 8 billion dollars a year locking up illegal immigrants. What about 12 Americans dying everyday because of illegal mexicans or the crimes they committ everyday . So hypocritical of the Mexican government to critciza our immigration enforcement when their national immigration law is tougher than Arizona. Dont believe it look it up. I’m not going to weigh in on whether or not illegal immigrants are taking our jobs, or draining our treasury. I just one to make one comment: Pro-Nazi ANYTHING makes my stomach turn. Their ideology has never changed…they want to rule the world. Fortunately, there are those of us that will never forget what they did to the world. Even if we didn’t live through WWII we have learned via written history, pictorial history and our wonderful parents what the Nazis were/are about. We need to Eliminate programs & services to illegals. If the US Gov ever take away my Social Security checks when i retire, i’m gonna be very upset.

Welfare reform: Drug tests, benefit limits (1 year max), and repayment plan required. “Anchor babies” really, you’d change the Constitution to fit your beliefs? We should all carry our own weight…but that doesn’t mean we have to be self-centered. I have no problem providing for my family and paying taxes to my State and Federal governments so that they can assist those struggling.

I have no problem, because I’m thankful for my opportunities and my freedoms, and I WANT my government to do what it can to help others get there too. You should ask yourself, why you don’t have that same mentality.
