PHOENIX (AP) — A man wanted in Arizona for probation violation and failing to register as a sex offender has been arrested in Los Angeles.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Friday that 25-year-old Theodore Bailey was taken into custody Thursday at a residence in LA.
Authorities say Bailey was convicted in 2005 of kidnapping and sexual conduct with a minor. They say he was involved in a prostitution ring where underage females were transported from Los Angeles to Phoenix and forced into prostitution.
Maricopa County officials say Bailey absconded from his probation supervision in 2009 and failed to update his sex offender registration.
The National Sex Offender Targeting Center in Virginia assisted investigators in Arizona with tracking Bailey to Los Angeles.
