LAPD Present At Raid On Charlie Sheen’s Home
SHERMAN OAKS (CBS) — Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department are present at a raid at actor Charlie Sheen’s home, according to officials.
LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman was unable to disclose who initiated the activity or what the raid entailed.
The raid reportedly took place just before 8 p.m. Thursday.
At least two squad cars were involved in the raid.
Celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported that sources told them “drugs or weapons” were involved.
At 8:50, in an overhead shot from Sky9, flashlights were clearly visible being used by law enforcement.
TMZ also said weapons would be a violation of the protective order filed by Sheen’s estranged wife Brooke Mueller.
A formal statement is expected to be released soon, Eisenman says.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported late Thursday that Sheen and Mueller have worked out a custody agreement regarding their twins. Details of the agreement are being kept confidential say both sides.
At some point during the raid, Sheen tweeted “all good here on the homefront. All reports are false. I’ll explain more very soon.”
By 10:30 p.m., police were seen leaving the premises.
Sheen later tweeted, “The LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! They can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!!”
