Boyfriend Eyed As Suspect Who Killed Mother Of 6 In Front Of Her Kids

MORENO VALLEY (CBS) —  Police Friday named a former live-in boyfriend as the suspect in the murder of a 35-year-old Moreno Valley woman who was slain in front of her six children.

Brandi Marie Morales' body was found around 12:50 a.m. Feb. 22 in a two-story house in the 11800 block of Wild Flax Lane, said Sgt. Brian Reno of the Moreno Valley Police Department.

"Investigators have determined Morales' ex-boyfriend, Tyrone Levoid Harts, is responsible for the murder and is currently being sought," Reno said.

Harts, a 39-year-old Riverside resident, had previously lived with the victim and her children.

The Riverside County District Attorney's office filed murder charges against Harts and a warrant for his arrest has been issued, Reno said.

Harts is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 300 pounds. Authorities said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department warned anyone who comes in contact with Harts to immediately call 911.

Police urged anyone with information regarding Harts' whereabouts to contact investigator Jason Corey of the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit at (951) 955-2777.
