VAN NUYS (CBS) — Authorities say a woman suffered a gunshot graze wound early Thursday morning while leaving a Van Nuys liquor store with her boyfriend.
The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. at Sherman Way and Woodley Avenue, near Van Nuys Airport, said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators do not know why the two were targeted, but do not believe the shooting was gang-related.
“They were leaving a liquor store when two suspects followed them in a blue (Chevrolet) Tahoe and shot at them,” Borihanh said.
The woman, whose name was not released, suffered a graze wound and was taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
