Registered Sex Offender Accused Of Raping Woman In Kmart Parking Lot

APPLE VALLEY (AP) — San Bernardino County prosecutors have filed a felony rape charge against a registered sex offender suspected of raping a woman in her own vehicle at gunpoint as her toddler slept in the back seat.

The Victorville Daily Press reports Elbert Ganter had a video arraignment on Tuesday from West Valley Detention Center.

Ganter was arrested late Thursday night at his home in Apple Valley.

The Daily Press says officials linked Ganter to the Feb. 11 attack in a Kmart parking lot from evidence gathered at the scene.

The newspaper says the woman was sitting in her vehicle with her sleeping child waiting for her husband and other children to return from Kmart when Ganter approached.

California needs to bring back the death penalty….at least for violent sexual predators. None of this sympathetic compassionate lethal injection, do it by firing squad.

What the hell ever happened to proven guilty in a court of law. Since i lived with Me. Ganter for the last 10 years your comments area very disturbing to say the least. This is a man who happens to be completely innocent but because he us black and there wash a video where all u could see wash a black male about his height and because he is registered he gets arrested. He us innocent. So come on people remember innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
