ST. LOUIS (AP) — Chris Stewart made a two-goal debut, and the St. Louis Blues, energized by a pair of high-profile trades, just missed a franchise record with two goals in a 7-second span of the first period in a 9-3 rout of the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.
T.J. Oshie had two goals and an assist, playing a hand in both goals of the quick flurry that erased a two-goal deficit.
It sparked a season best for scoring by three goals for a franchise that entered 13th in the Western Conference and eight points out of the final playoff spot.
The franchise record is two goals in 6 seconds, also against the Ducks on Oct. 11, 2010 at home.
