Pounce-Pounce Grrr: Tigers Top UC Irvine

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) -- Allen Huddleston scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half to lead Pacific to a 75-51 victory over UC Irvine on Wednesday night.

Huddleston made two of his four 3-pointers as the Tigers began the second half with a 20-7 run to put the game away.

Sam Willard had 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for Pacific, his 16th double-double of the season.

Terrell Smith added a season-high 13 points and eight rebounds for Pacific (15-10, 7-5 Big West). Nyika Williams scored 12 points and Demetrece Young had 10 points and eight assists as all five Pacific starters scored in double figures.

Darren Moore scored a game-high 22 points for Irvine (11-16, 4-9).

Irvine twice built nine-point leads early in the first half, but Pacific led 33-25 at halftime, then began the second half with a 12-3 run and was never challenged again.
