DAVIS (AP) – Casper Ware scored 23 points on 7-for-7 shooting to lead Long Beach State past UC Davis 93-69 on Thursday night.

Ware made four 3-pointers and contributed seven assists and five steals.

T.J. Robinson had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the 49ers (14-10, 9-2 Big West). Greg Plater scored 17 points, Larry Anderson scored 12 and Eugene Phelps had 11 points and nine rebounds.

All but Anderson reached double figures by halftime, when Long Beach State held a commanding 55-28 lead.

Long Beach State shot 64.6 percent from the floor, including 56.3 percent (9 for 16) from 3-point range.

The Big West-leading 49ers also owned a 34-21 rebounding advantage.

Mark Payne led UC Davis (8-15, 3-8) with 13 points. Josh Ritchart scored 12, Eddie Miller had 11 points and Tyler Les had 10 points for the Aggies.
