LAPD Women’s Team Runs In Memory Of Fallen Colleague

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Tomorrow, the LAPD will mark a somber milestone…20 years ago, the department lost their first female officer killed in the line of duty.

Officer Tina Kerbrat is still very much on the minds of her colleagues.

The 25-member LAPD’s Women’s Running Team is running a Baker to Las Vegas relay race this Spring.

Her children, says Suraya Fadel reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, will be literally there cheering on the team every step of the way.

It’s one way they can keep their mother’s legacy alive.
