Pregnant Woman, 32, Accused Of Stabbing Family Friend, 71, To Death
PALM SPRINGS (CBS) — A woman was in custody Wednesday on suspicion of fatally stabbing a 71-year-old family friend in Palm Springs, according to police.
Michelle Booty, 32, was being held in lieu of $1 million bail on suspicion of stabbing the victim in the driveway of a home in the 300 block of Sunview Ave.
Officials said the stabbing allegedly followed an argument on Tuesday.
The man, a Palm Springs resident whose name was not released, was stabbed at 6:13 p.m. and died at a hospital at 6:50 p.m., according to the county coroner's office.
KESQ reported that Booty is pregnant.
