SoCal's Summer In January Comes To An End
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Forecasters Saturday are predicting a foggy morning and afternoon highs in the low 70s as Southern California's summer in January comes to an end.
Temperatures have been running well above normal for nearly a month, but onshore breeze has returned, bringing with it a dose of fog.
The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for coastal areas until 9 a.m. and warned that visibility could be limited to about a quarter-mile in places.
Increasing clouds are predicted Saturday night and there's a possibility of some light drizzle Sunday morning.
Sunday's highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s – a far sight from the 70s and 80s this past week. By afternoon, a 20 percent chance of rain is forecast and will increase to 50 percent by Sunday night, according to the NWS.
