Wind, Surf Warnings In Effect Across The Southland

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Warm temperatures and windy conditions are expected across the Southland Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued high-wind warnings for the San Gabriel and Santa Ana mountains, Orange County coastal areas and the Inland Empire through late Sunday afternoon. The rest of the Southland will be under a lower-level wind advisory.

Gusts of up to 65 miles an hour can be expected in mountain areas.

Temperatures will be in the 70s Sunday. By Tuesday, some inland spots should top out around 80 degrees.

A high-surf advisory is also in effect for Los Angeles County beaches. Strong rip currents and waves of 4 to 8 feet are expected along west-facing beaches.
