NORWALK (CBS) — A sheriff’s SWAT team was sent into a Norwalk neighborhood to take a man with a gun into custody.

Deputies were sent to the 14300 block of Pontlavoy Avenue about 10 a.m. after a man with a gun was seen running into a home, Sheriff’s Sgt. Diane Hecht said.

Traffic was directed around the area and a command post was set up at Carmenita Road and Rosecrans Avenue.

Just to be clear … you can still own a gun in the United States. I just want to remind people. I hope if I am walking quickly and /or running from my car to my apartment (after target shooting at the range) that no one will suspect me of a crime. I’m not commenting SPECIFICALLY about THIS story (because there are not enough details)… but I’m just sayin’ …

Was there no school nearby so that we can call this a “school shooting?”

You never know what a person could do with a gun,, but aside from that; you can not be carrying a gun in full view of the public.. if I would have seen the same situation, I would have also called 911.

WHAT!?!?!?! Read the gun laws, if you do not hold a concealed weapons permit, you MUST carry it unloaded in plain view… like on your hip. Remember the Starbuck’s story last year?
