2 More Teens Arrested In Gardena High School Shooting

GARDENA (AP) — Police say two more teenagers have been arrested in connection with an accidental shooting that wounded two students at a south Los Angeles high school.

1 Student Critical, Another In Good Condition After Shooting

Detective A. Batris says a boy and a girl were arrested on Tuesday for investigation of helping conceal evidence after a 17-year-old boy allegedly smuggled a gun into class at Gardena High School in a backpack and it went off.

Batris says after the shooting, the 17-year-old allegedly traded clothes with a male student and gave the backpack to a girl, who were arrested Tuesday. He says prosecutors must decide whether any of the three will face criminal charges.

A single bullet struck a 15-year-old boy in the neck and a 15-year-old girl in the head. A doctor says the boy is in good condition and the girl remains critical but has awakened

What does the prosecutor have to consider? Lock them up now and save yourself the trouble. None of these kids are going to amount to anything in life anyway.

We as a society have gone to $#%^ in a handbasket. Kids carrying guns to school. Other kids covering it up. The insanity keeps getting worse. The cost of educating the kids have gone out of sight and what do they learn? How to take a bullet to the head. What happened? Too much TV? Too many drugs?

  • Mandy

You can try yo blame it on tv, music, society, and parents. Yea, for most cases those are the typical factors in a “youth gone wrong”…but there are plenty of kids who grow up in loving, non proverty level houses and still turn out to be eff-ups….nobody knows this kids thoughts on why he had to bring a gun to school…none of you really know whats going on in his life, maybe someone bullied him into doing it, maybe he felt threatend…? Clearly it wasn’t right but its a kid and from experience they don’t always make the right choices….what I would like to know is that how did this kid get through the metal detectors at this school with that gun…?(i know for a fact that they have detectors at this school)…
