Teen Charged In Christmas Eve Ferrari Crash That Killed His Cousin

SANTA ANA (AP) — Vehicular manslaughter charges have been filed against a California teenager who lost control of a Ferrari sports car on Christmas Eve and crashed, killing his passenger.

Orange County prosecutors said Thursday that 19-year-old Luicci Nader of Huntington Beach is charged with a felony count of vehicular manslaughter by unlawful manner of driving with gross negligence. He's jailed on $100,000 bail.

Prosecutors claim that Nader, who was 18 at the time of the Dec. 24 crash, was doing up to 100 mph in his parents' 2008 Ferrari on Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach when he lost control and slammed into a truck.

Nader's 24-year-old cousin, Ralph Abinader, was killed. The truck driver and his passenger were seriously hurt. Nader also suffered major injuries.
