Los Angeles Police Sgt. Aaron Ponce says the incident late Saturday in Valley Glen was likely gang-related.
Ponce tells City News Service Sunday that ten people were gathered outside the suburban house when a dark-colored sedan pulled up. A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt got out, asked those gathered where they were from, and then opened fire.
Five people were shot and another person sustained a leg injury while trying to flee.
The driver of the vehicle remained inside the car before both suspects drove away.
Ponce says two victims are in critical condition Sunday, and the status of the others was unknown.
Anyone with information on the shootings was asked to contact the LAPD.
