PALMDALE (CBS) — The New Year started with a small bang in the foothills above the Antelope Valley on Saturday, according to automated seismographs.
A small quake struck at 2:08 a.m. today and was centered near the San Andreas Fault, 6 miles south of Palmdale and 32 miles north-northeast of the Los Angeles Civic Center.
It was too small to cause damage, seismological data showed.
