GORMAN (CBS) — Tow truck crews are working to upright at least one big rig on Route 138 near the Interstate 5 corridor after a multi-truck crash caused by black ice.
A CHP dispatcher said officers were still working to clear the roadway at 8 a.m. and couldn’t confirm how many trucks were involved in the accident.
The crash, which took place near Lancaster Road and Old Ridge Route Road just east of Gorman, was first reported to county fire at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday.
Three people were taken to hospitals, but CHP Officer Ed Jacobs said he did not know the extent of their injuries.
At 2:31 a.m., the CHP noted damage to about 50 feet of barbed wire fence on Tejon Ranch property.
