LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles International Airport is reporting few problems from storms that caused many flight cancellations and stranded thousands of passengers on the East Coast.
Spokesman Harold Johnson says Tuesday that there haven’t been any large numbers of folks forced to wait for flights at the airport. He also says traffic is moving well even though it’s one of the busiest flying seasons of the year.
Johnson says airlines appear to have done a good job of notifying customers of flight cancellations, so people have rebooked instead of waiting around terminals.
About 16 flights from LAX were canceled on Monday. Harold says he doesn’t have any figures for Tuesday cancellations but he says mainly flights to New York and New Jersey are affected.
