San Bernardino Officer Kills Man During Foot Chase

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Police have shot and killed a man after a foot chase in San Bernardino.

San Bernardino police say officers were responding to a report of a man in a blue shirt carrying a gun on Saturday afternoon.

Police say an officer found a man who matched the description but he started to flee. They say the officer fired shots after the man reached into his waistband while running away.

The man died at the scene of the shooting. He was not identified by police.

Police declined to comment or provide additional details Sunday.

The shooting was reported Saturday night by the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

He reached into his waistband…yeah, right.

you weren’t there, so keep your “yeah right ” to yourself

Its all the reason they need for a justified shooting. Andif the officer is lying…… no way to tell. Interesting that they haven’t yet said they found a weapon. Maybe he was just scratching his crotch.

“They say the officer fired shots after the man reached into his waistband while running away” I’m calling shenanigans on this. This old “reaching for his waistband” gag is getting a bit old. They need to come up with something more plausible.

Since when is it threatening someone to reach into their waistband while running away? He got killed for that? Perhaps we, the citizens, should require law enforcement to use common sense and decency before using lethal force. Can’t catch him isn’t an excuse to kill. Run faster or throw or a rope…

Good. Glad he’s dead. Wish you monday morning quarterbacks would join him too sometimes. When you get done telling cops how they should deal with dangerous people, make sure to tell firefighters how they should fight a fire and doctors how they should do open heart surgery. You know nothing about any of their professions except what you see on TV, but that makes you qualified to second guess them, right?

      I couldn’t agree more…. Very well said.

When are we as a nation gonna unite and put an end th this corruption by our police departments. There needs to be consequences for this type of lethal force. Simply reaching is enough to shoot someone dead. If you want to be a police officer the job calls for you to risk your life, not kill at the mere thought of losing it. A bunch of cowards is what it comes down to.

So since you think you know SO MUCH about law enforcement which training academy did you attend?…. I’m sorry if you have never been trained then you should not speak of something you know absolutely nothing about. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t run from the cops if I had nothing to hide… I guess if cops are “all corrupt” we should expect you NEVER to call them right?… Not when someone breaks into your house, steals your car, or beats you up. Word of advice when you do call them (because I know you will) make sure when they arrive on scene before you feed them your fake story… First tell them how you think “they are corrupt”
