Latest Info On Road Closures, Street Conditions

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A flash flood can change a street from driveable to dangerous within minutes.

Having an alternate route handy, especially in wet and slick driving conditions like the Southland will experience over the next few days,  is also a good idea.

The California Highway Patrol reports that 264 crashes occurred on Los Angeles-area freeways and roads in unincorporated areas in this morning's rain, between 5-9 a.m. That compares to 48 in the same Saturday period last week.
