CORONA (AP) — A high school teacher in Riverside County has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation.
Sheriff’s officials say 48-year-old Stephen Wolford, a teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Corona, was arrested Thursday at his home on suspicion of lewd acts with a child under age 14 with force.
Investigators at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s station received a report of possible child molestation in June and conducted an investigation. The district attorney’s office reviewed the case and issued an arrest warrant.
Wolford was booked and released from jail on $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 10.
