81-Year-Old Housekeeper Reported Missing

LOS ANGELES (CBS) —  Authorities Friday asked Angelenos to be on the lookout for an 81-year-old Los Angeles woman who failed to return home from her housecleaning job.

Enolia Mims left her home around 8 a.m. Thursday to head for work in the San Fernando Valley. She was last seen by her employer about 5 p.m. at the residence in the 20000 block of Elkwood Street in Canoga Park, said Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Mims had finished cleaning a house and was headed home and has not been seen since," according to Joseph. The woman's family is, obviously, very concerned for her well-being. Mims is the mother and grandmother of two LAPD officers.

Mims, who is black with gray hair and brown eyes, was wearing a plum-colored track suit, knit cap and eyeglasses.

She drives a blue 2002 Jeep Cherokee, California license number 6MIK145.

Police urged anyone with information about Mims's whereabouts to contact LAPD Missing Persons Unit detectives at (213) 996-1800 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
