Man Shot While Staying At A Moreno Valley Hotel
MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — Police say a man was shot and wounded Wednesday in his room at a Moreno Valley Hotel.
Officials say the man confronted two suspects when he was shot, reportedly in the back.
The attack was reported at 5:03 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 12611 Memorial Way, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was not immediately identified.
He was rushed to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
Wednesday evening officials said the man was in stable condition.
Deputies at the scene reported that the victim's room had been ransacked and that there was blood on the bed sheets.
Two men were seen fleeing south on Memorial. One was described as Hispanic, wearing a gray shirt and jeans. The other suspect was white, in his 20s, with short hair and carrying a Nike bag, according to the sheriff's department.
