LOS ANGELES (CBS) — As the holidays swing into full gear, and celebrations abound, it is important to remember that not everyone will be filled with happy holiday cheer.

Many people are dealing with the loss of a spouse, or parent or child or pet…and at a time when images of happy families abound, not having the “perfect” unit can open up all kinds of feelings in people…especially grief.

Brian Shuff and Ron Marasco, authors of “About Grief,” were in-studio guests for KCAL 9 News at Noon Wednesday to discuss how to cope with loss especially at holiday times.
