2 Hikers Rescued After Cold Night On Mt. Baldy

MT. BALDY (CBS) — Authorities Saturday said two hikers who spent a cold night on Mount Baldy have been rescued.

Oscar Monrreal and his cousin, Raul, said that they got stuck in rough terrain Friday as they attempted to take a short cut off the mountain.

"They were found up on one of the ridges at Mount Baldy," San Bernardino County Deputy J. McDaniel said.

The hikers were wearing winter gear and said they used a flashlight to signal a search helicopter at about 9 p.m. Friday. They did, however, spend the night huddled under a bulldozer.
