HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — At least one person was injured Saturday in a multi-vehicle crash on the Hollywood (101) Freeway, a city fire official said.

The collision was reported at 7:33 p.m. on the northbound 101 at Highland Avenue, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

According to Humphrey, multiple vehicles were involved, but it was unknown how many people were injured.

No further details were immediately available.

    To point out the newsworthiness of this article for those without the capacity to think, …
    1. if someone was traveling northbound on the 101, they would be experience traffic delays due to the accident and subsequent clean up.
    2. If someone has friends or relatives (read loved ones for those without a heart) traveling at that time, there is a chance that it was an accident involving them. By seeing this people would maybe take the initiative to check in on their loved ones to make sure if it was them or not.
    3. At least one human being was injured, sorry to those who have no understanding of what that means as far as news and sorry by reading this that those like you were stopped from reading about Paris Hilton’s latest newsworthy shoe shopping trip, but a person being injured is far more important. Here’s in a word why it should be newsworthy, … Compassion. Look it up in the dictionary, yes it is an English word, not some foreign language.
