JULIAN (CBS) — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 has struck near Julian, according to the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 3.0 to 3.9 typically are observed as a slight rocking or a vibration similar to the passing of a truck if they are noticed at all, according to the USGS.

    In Menifee, Ca. we felt one small jolt, my guess was that it was an aftershock
    from a pretty good shake we had a few months ago.
