Gates Getting Frustrated With Foot Injury

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Antonio Gates is getting frustrated with the torn plantar fascia in his right foot that could sideline him for a second straight game.

And for the fantasy geeks who are wondering, the star tight end really doesn't have any answers.

Gates didn't practice again on Wednesday. He did some running on the side, but says he's not running the way he'll need to Monday night when the Chargers host the AFC West-rival Denver Broncos.

Gates says it's frustrating because he's had a two-week break and he still doesn't know how the injury is going to play out. He missed the Chargers' victory at Houston on Nov. 7, and the Chargers had their bye last weekend.

Gates has been Philip Rivers' favorite target, with 40 catches for 663 yards and nine touchdowns.
