LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Don’t like the facial fuzz? Like your men clean shaven?

Well, let your guys grow the hair over their lips this month, aka “Movember,” for a good cause. Moustaches + November (hence Mo-vember) is a world-wide move to remind men to check their prostates.

Men are challenged to grow their facial hair for an entire month to help raise awareness. The moustache is designed to be a ribbon for men’s health.

The idea started in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia and has been increasing popular stateside ever since.

It’s also a good time to start growing that facial hair if you intend on playing Santa! (Okay, we just made up that last part…but still.)

Funds raised in the US will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) as well as Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG.

Men, grow you mo!
