LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Los Angeles motorcycle officer was injured Thursday in a crash on the southbound 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz Reports

The accident occurred at 7:25 a.m. at Slauson Avenue, CHP Officer Jennifer Connelly said.

The officer was transported to a hospital for examination, Connelly said.

The southbound freeway briefly was closed, but two of the lanes soon were reopened.
