DUARTE (CBS) — Authorities are looking for five people who robbed an El Pollo Loco restaurant in Duarte.
No one was injured in the robbery, which was reported at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Huntington Drive, Sgt. Roberta Granek of the sheriff’s Temple Station said.
A suspect wearing a Halloween mask had a toy knife, but another suspect had what appeared to be a real gun, according to witnesses.
The masked suspect ordered several employees into a back room and forced her to open the business safe before fleeing with “a large amount of money,” the manager said.
No customers were present at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information about the suspects was urged to call the Temple Station at (626)285-7171.
