WILMINGTON (CBS) — A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in a drive-by near Banning High School Wednesday, according to authorities.

Banning High School was also locked down as a precaution.

The victim, identified as Jose Manuel Torres of Wilmington, was shot in the 100 block of East Q Street at 9:20 a.m., according to Los Angeles police Officer Cleon Joseph.

Authorities were searching for two men in a black truck, Joseph said.

Police the men in the truck asked Torres a question before shooting him in the head.
