BELLFLOWER (CBS 2) — Authorities investigating a massive fire that had engulfed a vacant bowling alley last week discovered a charred body beneath the rubble Tuesday.
The blaze was reported at Clark Avenue and Alondra Boulevard Friday afternoon and dozens of firefighters fought to quench the blaze.
The fire had burned through the roof of the single-story building that had housed the Clark Center bowling alley, county Fire Inspector Don Kunitomi said.
While surveying the site Friday a police dog discovered burned human remains under the wreckage.
Anyone with information about the fire is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
